Founded and led by Jake-Lee Coetzee, the magazine is rooted in a creative career built at the highest levels of luxury and celebrity culture. From 2015, Jake-Lee travelled the globe as a celebrity hairstylist, working with iconic names including Patricia Scotland, Linda Plant (The Apprentice), Embeth Davidtz (Matilda), Anjelica Huston, John Legend, Kelly Rowland, and Anabella Cabrita. Along the way, he developed an unmatched eye for beauty, detail, and brand presentation.

His career highlights include working for billionaire Douw Steyn and serving as the resident celebrity hairstylist at the prestigious Saxon Hotel, Villas & Spa — an experience that placed him in the heart of high-net-worth circles and forged valuable, lasting connections within the luxury travel and lifestyle world.

In 2020, a life-altering horse-riding accident abruptly ended his styling career and revealed his true calling: to combine his passion for conservation, wildlife, travel, and authentic storytelling. This evolution gave rise to Adventure Lifestyle Magazine — a platform where artistry meets purpose.
